Magnus is the second generation running the business and took to it like a duck to water. We get the nicest people coming to stay - quietly sociable and considerate of fellow campers - and they make it a delight. We love living here and running our campsite. The campsite is in an International Dark Skies Reserve and is a Dark Sky Business.Įither camping or glamping, Low Greenside is equally perfect for romantic getaways or family holidays. Wander down to one of the two village pubs or light your campfire and watch the sunset, toast your marshmallows and wait for the stars to come out in an inky black sky. Outside is the woodland, garden with meadow in front, campfire/BBQ, picnic table, seating, and comfy double hammock.Īfter a day out exploring, return home to a peaceful campsite to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures. With a double bed, cosy furnishings, and cooking facilities to make a great fry-up or camp meal for two. Like the yurt, Green Bell Tent is spacious, comfy, and very private. The yurt's kitchen hut is equipped to cook proper meals for up to five people. In an adjacent field, there are two options for glampers - Far Field Yurt for couples or families and Green Bell Tent for couples only. The site is justly proud that many visitors return year after year or several times a year. Large pitches for tents and three campervans are positioned around the edges of a very spacious field, making room for everyone to enjoy in peace. The owners are proud to have a Silver Award from the Green Tourism Scheme. The friendly sheep are very happy to be fed bits of bread and will come trotting over when they see you. Large areas of grass are kept long for wildlife (and children!), and there is a programme of planting native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers. It's is an eco friendly site where everything is designed to be low impact and sustainable, including the facilities. This beautiful, quiet, unspoiled area is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District - but with none of their hustle and bustle. At the foot of the Howgill Fells in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Low Greenside is perfect for a relaxed camping or glamping holiday for couples, families or friends. ![]()
